New small groups at church started this past week.
I am in one called 7:14 as well as another called projectHOPE
This week for CREATIVE SHARE, I want to share a really FUN recipe with you that I will be using in the very near future. For project HOPE we will be having a bake sale that I have sort of taken on as my baby in efforts to raise money for project HOPE.
I will share ALL of the details about project HOPE in a post later.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Bar
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 cups creamy or chunky peanut butter
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
18 oz. jam (About the size of one jar. Next time I make these I’m going to use a jar and a third, so you can try doing that as well)
2/3 cups salted peanuts, coarsely chopped (optional)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease or line a 9×13-inch cake pan. In a small bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the vanilla, eggs, and peanut butter and mix until all ingredients are combined. Gradually add the flour mixture to the peanut butter mixture and mix just until combined. Spread 2/3 of the dough into the prepared cake pan and press down into the pan with your hands. Spread the jam evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the remaining dough evenly over the jam. Don’t worry if all the jam isn’t covered; it will spread in the oven. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts and bake for 45 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely and cut into squares.
After that, I will be wrapping & packaging them all cutsie to sale them. I am SO excited for this and its all for a FANTASTIC cause!
